سياستنا الخارجية ؟

أعاود كتابة الموضوع مرة أخرى، وذلك لأسباب لا أدري إن كانت فنية أو مقصودة، ولكن على ما يبدو أن الموضوع كما كتبته ووضعته أمس بقدرة قادر مسح كله ولم يبقى منه سوى كلمات متفرقة!
عمومًا، كنت قد أكتبت، عن سبب التخبط الموجود في سياستنا الخارجة، وما هي اسبابه، فالواضح أن سياستنا الخارجية أدت لخلق نوع من الكراهية لنا ككويتيين من قبل جميع شعوب المنطقة، بما فيها الخيليجية! وطبعًا كالعادة يظهر تافه أو تافهان، ليخبرونا بأن السبب هو الحقد والحسد! طبعًا أنا أقول اللهم لا شماته، بس احنا كل يومين منقطعة عندنا الكهربا فعن اي حقد او حسد يتحدثون! ولماذا شعوب الامارات وقطر محبوبون من الدول العربية فهم ايضا شعوب مترفه؟ فسبب الكراهية واضح هو مواقف الكويت الخارجية!
فلماذا نقوم بتبني مواقف تدعو الناس لكرهنا؟
خارج الموضوع،
افتتاحية الوطن يوم الثلاثاء كانت تثير الشفقة، فالموضوع كان شبيه بمواضيع ايام الثمانينا، حيث تضمن تهديدًا واضحًا وسافرًا للطائفة الشيعية في المنطقة، إذا ما قامت ايران بتنفيذ مشروعها النويوية، إضافة إلى التشكيك بوطنية الطائفية الشيعية؟! ومع ذلك لم اقرأ إلى اليوم اي تعليق على تلك الإفتاتحية الوقحة التي يكتبها طفل الحرام خليفة على الخليفة !
من أجل أن نتذكر ولكي لا ننسى

I actually liked the apprevaited post it was very much mokhtasar mofeed :)
The reason we're disliked is a result of two different variables, one of them, as you mentioned, is our policies (or lack of it) and the other is our attitudes as Kuwaiti peoeple!
As for our Foreign affairs policy, we don't have any.. because we lack a political philosophy. Who are we (as the State of Kuwait)? Arabs, Muslims, Gulf Nationals or Global Citizens? What are we? Democracy, dictatorship , monarchy or republic? What are our priorities? Alliances? Enemies? None of that is defined or agreed upon within the policy makers. The result is no policy. Hence our priorities, alliances and enemies change by the minute.Who will repsect us or take us seriously? This I think is something we have in common with most GCC countries. So I don't think this is the main reason we're disliked.
The second variable, our attitude, is the prime factor behind our negative image in the world in general and the Arabic world in particular. Whether as employers, tourists and businessmen we project extremely negative attitude towards any non-Western others. We lack basic etiquette, ethics and courtesy. This is typically combined with snobby attitude, greed, stubbornness and terminal stupidity. Who will like us? We don't like us .. LOL.
Take a taxi in Bahrain and a taxi in Kuwait (both citizens) and you will see what I mean. Same proffession and climate but 180 degrees difference in attitude, decency and sophistication.
I don't mean to generalize, but this is how people see us. It is the human nature to remeber the negative more than the positive .. especially when the positive is scarce.

ممكن إذا اعتبرنا ان مجلس الامة لا يعتبر ممثل شرعي للشعب. أما نظام الحكم فالأنطمة الدكتاتورية والأنظمة الاوتوقراطية والديمقراطية كلها تعتبر شرعية بالنهاية!!

Kuwait historically, have had a unique foreign policy resulting in holding el 3asa min el nos!
I do agree with the guys that our attitude is the reason we're hated!

I strongly agree with you on the attitude. The indentity, yeah, we have been hubbing from Qawmeya to Islameya.
Now I getting to a point where I strongly believe that our foriegn policy is just to adapt whatever Saudi Arabia is adapting!
We among all other GCC nations, we are the most pro Saudi government! Even our relation with the States is only because Saudi is doing it, otherwise we wouldn't have this relationship. Seriously once Saudi decide to change its relation with the States, the story of the invasion will be screwed big time!
And nevertheless when Saudis adapting some policies it might fit them but it never fit us! i.g. Iran vs Iraq war, Saudi vs Syria, Saudi vs Qatar and many other issues.

بالنسبة لإفتتاحية الوطن فالبطبع هي إعادة للوضع الذي كنا عليه في فترة الثمانينات، حملة اعلامية ضد حزب الله وايران وكيف انهم ضد مصالحنا، وتصاحبها حملة قبيحة من اصحاب القلوب السوداء للتشكيك بالشيعة المتعاطفين مع حزب الله وايران، وكأنه حرام على التعاطف معهم، والوطنية محصورة بالولاء للسياسة الامريكية !!

احنا بكل القضايا الخارجية لما ندخل فيها، ندخل فيها بعنف، ونتبناها اكثر من ما اصحاب القضية نفسهم يتبنونها، مثل القضية الفلسطينية في السابق، او قضية العراق وايران أو أحدثها وهي حرب بوش على الارهاب! اللي يسمع ويشوف مواقفنا يقول ان ابراج التجارة العالمية كانت بالكويت وليست بنيويورك!
وعلى طاري العصا، على قولة أحد الأصدقاء، احنا ماشين على سياسة الجزرة والعصا، ولكن للأسف اضعنا العصا، وليس لدينا سوى الحزرة، كل من تكلم أعطيناه الجزرة ليسكت دون العصا، فصرنا مطقاقة عند العرب!

الحديث عن الكفاءات كثير ودائمًا يتردد، بس مو معقولة، سواء على مستوى الأسرة أو مستوى الدولة، صعبة ان يكون مافي كفاءات!
Following KSA is a relatively recent trend .. after the invasion to be exact. Before that Kuwait did have a relative autonomy. e.g. Elections, democracy and resistance to the US melitary existance in the Gulf. Even in the Iraqi/Irani war, Kuwait was a lot more moderate than KSA. This has changed I think out of gatitude to KSA for their role in the lebiration .. we are still thinking in the old beduin norms!
BTW .. why do you still read Al-Wa6an?! It only causes you ulcers and high blood pressure and adds money to the theives pockets .. Don't, trust me :))
